FIRST LEGO League is divided into three subcategories. Explore is for the youngest builders - Pre-k through kindergarten. Discover is for 1st-4th graders and Challenge is for 4th-8th graders. Each level uses an age appropriate platform for students to explore engineering principles and processes through LEGOs and LEGO robotics. FIRST LEGO League rewards teamwork, Gracious Professionalism, Coopertition, and intelligent design. FIRST LEGO League is cost effective with a reusable robot each year, and the program is volunteer driven. It's also easy to implement, even if you don't have an engineering background.
